Welcome To Kiran
Kiran Social Enterprises is a handicraft design studio and training centre for people living in marginalised communities in Kolkata, India. We train individuals in the art of jewelry making, sewing, bag making and other handicrafts, enabling them to develop a new vocation and become artisans in their own right.
Kiran’s designs are inspired by copper and the Indian Sari. We love incorporating reclaimed saris in our products. It is beautiful to see this icon of feminine India celebrated, loved, and affirmed by women of other cultures around the world.

Our products are special because our team designs and makes them fully in-house. Any product you see is the work of the skilful hands of our friends that were trained through our slum programs.
Our team is SO skilled, they can make products off just a picture! They have made custom jewellery & bags but also curtains, cushion covers, couch covers, blankets, and other beautiful household items.
